Presenting Soultags – Your #SoulSwags, now better!

We’re excited to announce the transition of the branding of our Soulbound Tokens (SBTs) from SoulSwag to Soultag in order to better represent and comprehend its wider utilities. With this new update, we’re making it easier for people across Web3 to discover and filter wallets based on usage of protocols, skills and credentials of their interest, much like how hashtags works for filtering social media content.
All your existing #SoulSwag would be visible to you as Soultags, making them easily discoverable by potential job posters and Web3 projects. Soultags add personality to wallets while letting you preserve your privacy.
Everything you already acquired still remains the same, except for a few additional benefits as mentioned above. In due course of time, we shall be adding many more functionalities and use cases for Soultags, to help you make the most out of your Web3 reputation.
Soultags and Discoverability
As every Soultag would be unique to a wallet, projects can easily find and group users having a particular Soultag, thus enabling them to easily find Souls matching their eligibility criteria for a particular skill set, and further choose the best candidates by querying their reputation in that particular skill.
These tags would be visible at a contract level, enabling sort of an open, searchable database of users filtered from across the global wallet population. Projects would be able to use these tags to filter users within their own smart contracts. Thus by identifying their own dedicated users through these Soultags issued via the xHashtag Soultag protocol, special consideration for these users would be possible. This includes contract gating to ensure skilled and regular users of the project are given preferential access to these rewarding campaigns.
Additionally, projects can create tasks and quests via xHashtag, which would be accessible only to their users possessing these Soultags, thus enabling quick and automatic verification and reward disbursal. This bodes well for all stakeholders, enabling better cooperation and interaction, thus furthering the vision of a decentralized workforce.
